Branding Settings

Who can do this: Superuser Admin  ·  Where: Dashboard → Settings → Branding Settings

Make NorthGrid look like your company — the app's name and colors, your logo, and how generated PDF reports are titled, colored, and footed. One Save Settings button applies everything; blank fields fall back to sensible defaults, so you only override what you care about.

Tenant identity

  • Application Name — shown in the top navigation on every page. Leave blank for the default.
  • Footer Company Name — appears as © <year> [Company Name] in the page footer.

Field labels

  • Tag # Field Label — rename the tag field everywhere it appears (forms, detail pages, reports). Blank uses the default "Tag #". Handy when a client's world calls it "Asset ID" or "Panel ID."

Colors

Pickers for Primary Color, Secondary Color, Header Background, and Footer Background set the app's palette for your tenant.

Upload a PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, or SVG up to 5 MB (recommended max width 400px). The current logo previews on the card; uploading again replaces it. The logo flows into the app header and onto generated reports.

PDF reports

  • PDF Footer Text — printed at the bottom of every generated report page.
  • Report Title Color — the color of headings like "Site Report" and "Equipment Detail." Leave blank (or press Clear) to inherit your Primary Color.
  • Report Accent Color — the accent bars beside section titles and the band under page headers. Blank/Clear inherits Secondary Color.
  • Site Report Intro Page — write a title and body once, toggle it on, and every site report opens with your intro page.

Deficiency workflow

Two timing knobs for the deficiency lifecycle:

  • Archive interval — how long after a deficiency is resolved before it's archived out of the active view (default 6 months).
  • Review interval — how often open deficiencies should be re-reviewed, in days (default 90); the form shows a live "≈ N weeks / months" translation as you type.

(If these controls show a migration notice instead, the deficiency-archive database migration hasn't been run on your tenant yet.)

Troubleshooting

My logo upload was rejected. : Check the type (PNG/JPG/GIF/WebP/SVG) and size (max 5 MB). Very wide images work but 400px is the sweet spot for the header.

Reports still show the old colors. : Colors are read at generation time — regenerate the report after saving. If a Report color looks wrong, remember blank report colors inherit Primary/Secondary; use Clear to intentionally fall back.

I renamed the Tag # label but old PDFs still say Tag #. : Already-generated PDFs are snapshots; the new label applies to reports generated from now on.
