The Dashboard

Who sees it: Superuser Admin Field Tech  ·  Where: it's the landing page after sign-in, and Dashboard in the top navigation

The Dashboard is your tenant's home base: a live asset overview, one-click shortcuts to everything you do regularly, and — for admins — the review queues where items submitted from the field wait for a decision.

Your role shapes what you see

The Dashboard is deliberately different per role:

  • Admins (and the Superuser) see everything on this page, including all review queues and the Administration section.
  • Field Techs see a streamlined dashboard focused on the Clients and Add Site cards — the review queues and admin sections are hidden, because reviewing is an admin job.
  • Viewers never land here at all. Signing in takes a Viewer straight to their assigned client's page. A Viewer whose account has No access sees a message to contact their admin instead — assign them a client in Manage users to resolve it.

The header offers Add User (admins) and an Admin menu that jumps directly to Manage Clients, Manage Users, Add User, equipment configuration, and the Settings pages.

Asset overview

The top panel is a live view of your tenant's data — toggle between Asset Overview and Compliance Report. It shows tracked assets, sites, managed vs unmanaged equipment, open deficiencies, an Equipment by Type breakdown, and recent Deficiency Activity with severity labels. The Full accounting report link opens the complete accounting view.

Demo and Training sites are excluded

The overview intentionally leaves out Demo and Training sites, so your numbers reflect real work only.

Shortcut cards

The card row gets you to frequent destinations in one click: Clients (current count, with Manage and View Clients), Reports (New Onboarding Report), Images (Manage Images), the orange IR Image Import card (Upload IR Images — the daily FLIR camera ZIP workflow), Quick Actions (Add User, Add Equipment Type, Equipment Settings), and Add Site / Add User cards that return you to the Dashboard when done.

Review queues (admins)

These sections are the Dashboard's real job: everything below the cards is a queue of items waiting on an admin decision. Approvals here are protected by a security token, so always act from a freshly loaded page.

Unassigned / Unapproved sites

Sites created in the field without a client, or awaiting approval, collect here (latest 10 shown, with the total in the header). For each site you can:

  • Select the site name or Review to open its detail page.
  • Select Approve to approve it as-is — you'll see "Site approved."
  • Enter a corrected name and select Change Name & Approve to fix a field-entered name and approve in one step — "Site renamed and approved." A name is required for this option.
  • Select View All to work the full list in site management.

Unapproved dropdown values

When field entries introduce new dropdown options, the count appears here — select Review to approve or reject them on the approvals page.

Unassigned equipment

Active equipment not yet attached to a site (latest 5, with the total). Select an item to open its equipment detail page, or View all equipment for the full list. When the queue is empty, the section says so and there's nothing to do.

Additional attribute requests

Requests from the field to add or change an equipment attribute (latest 20). Each row shows the equipment, the requested attribute, proposed value, note, and request time. Open the equipment link if you need context, then Approve or Reject. Decisions apply immediately — read the note before acting.

Removed Files — Pending Review

When someone removes a file from an equipment record, the file isn't destroyed — it lands here for an admin verdict (latest 20 of the pending total). For each row:

  • Approve confirms the removal.
  • Restore returns the file to the equipment record.
  • View All opens the complete removed-files log.

Check the equipment reference and filename before choosing — the two buttons have opposite outcomes.

Administration section

A button strip for tenant administration, grouped as Clients & Users (Manage Clients and Manage Users, each showing its current count, plus Add User), Equipment Config (Manage Subtypes, Add Equipment Type, Equipment Settings, Assign Attributes, Client Field Order), and Settings (SMTP Settings, Email Templates, Branding Settings).

Troubleshooting

"Security check failed (CSRF)." : The page was open too long or in a stale tab before you approved something. Reload the Dashboard and repeat the action.

"Site name is required to rename & approve." : Change Name & Approve needs a name in its text box. Type the corrected name first, or use plain Approve to keep the current name.

"Your account has no permissions. Talk to the admin." (Viewer) : The Viewer account has No access — no client is assigned yet. An admin fixes this by editing the account in Manage users and selecting a client.

A queue I expect isn't on my dashboard. : The review queues only render for admins — Field Tech dashboards intentionally omit them. They also collapse when empty; a missing queue usually means an empty one.
